I was riding into Dog Town th have that Jody Rhoades to take a picture of my trusty sidekick Bingo and his faithful steed Rusty. I got to rememberin how I had won ole Harley from Blue Minor. Blue had that wagon and buggy salvage yard and we spent a lot of time playin poker there. That night ole Blue was sure he had me when he bet that horse. He had four aces but much to his surprise and mine too I had five aces. He is the noisiest horse I ever heard but he takes me anywher I want to go. We arrived at the same time as the freight train from up north. An old black man come crallin outta the last boxcar. He didn't have any shoes and he sure looked like he had been rode hard and put up wet. He was hollerin for anyone to find him a Sackett. Still a little bit suspicous I asked him what he wanted with a Sackett. He begin tellin me as to how Elmo Sackett had fed him and let him stay at his cabin cause some frllers was lookin fer Elmo and he was goin to the Japton caves until he could sort this out or get some help from his brothers.

I knew it had to be some of those Elliott gang that was plannin to stir up trouble. As soon as I could round up Emmitt and Logan we lit out fer where we knew Elmo would be. Logan had that school marm he was seein fix us a bag of biscuits and some jerked cat. We made it pretty quick to ole Bobby Hopper's place and there Logan said he was going to go on to Elmo's cabin and see if the Elliott gang was still there and he would meet us at the Japton caves. He kept sayin he would make his self invisible some how. I shur hope that works cause them Elloitt gangs are meanern Jessie Jackson when he has to answer the white curtousy phone at the train station.

We arrived at the Japton caves at daylight. Since Ole Harley makes so much noise I had to hold on to the horses at the edge of the trees. Emmitt snuck up to the caves and cupped his hands around his mouth and said "Who". From inside the cave came the answer "Who dat?". Emmitt replied "Who dat say Who dat?" We knew Elmo was there and was OK cause that was a code we had worked out years ago fer when one or the other of us was in a tight spot.

About that time I heard some horses commin. Whe I could make them out I was sure two of them was part of that Elliott gang, but the one in the middle looked strange. He was in the saddle alright but he was riddin backwards and had his hands tied to the horn. Whe they got closer I could see it was Logan, guess that invisible stuff didn't work out to good. I knew the best way to rescue Logan was to use my double barrel spud gun. I got it ready and when they got close to me I stepped out in front of them and unloaded both barrels. It knocked both Elliott gangsters off their horses and out cold. It spooked Logan's horse and after we quit laffin we chased him down and got him off ole Twitter.

We tooke the horses, guns, clothes and boots from the Elloitt boys and left them standin in their bare feet. We did leave them some of the biscuits and jerked cat. As we rode off toward Elmo's cabin Logan said we orta string em up and leave them fer the cyotes. Emmitt bein the most level headed of all of us said they would be so embarrassed that we probably won't see em again. Then I said to whoever might listen I don't know bout that I think we ain't seen the last of them ombres
